thirst project
The Thirst Project’s goal is to make sure people around the globe have access to clean water no matter where they live. The organization travels around the country to teach students about the water crisis and how they can help change it. With the help of donated money, The Thirst Project is able to help build freshwater wells in developing nations and communities and bring safe, drinkable water to all.
On February 18th, Seth Maxwell, founder of the thirst project, presented a unique challenge and opportunity to DATA juniors and seniors. At 26 years old, Seth has lead the Thirst Project in completing nearly 1,000 water projects, providing large amounts of sustainable fresh water to people in underdeveloped or impoverished nations. Seth brought with him facts and statistics showing the devastating effects that a lack of clean water can have on a community– everything from parasitic infections to AIDS.

the way we can help is by raising awareness for the problem and raise money so that they can make wells for the kids in other countries can get clean accessible water.if we all piched in a few dollars or cents we could end that problem.i actually had to raise a dollar for the thirst project so what i did was start to go around my neighbor's to ask for cans and bottles that they didnt need then i went to the local recycling center and i had to give them 20 cans and they gave me my dollar so it was pretty easy to collect a dollar since i know its going for a good cause i dont think twice before giving it to the thirst project since so little money can mantaine a person for a year.
